INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT
The Longmont Youth Football Association's mission statement is "to provide the students of the St. Vrain Valley School District with an outstanding athletic experience stressing competitiveness, teamwork, football fundamentals, and above all good sportsmanship."
The Longmont Youth Football Association is operated as a tax-exempt, non-profit organization. All proceeds go towards equipment, fields, referrees, and promotion. The Longmont Youth Football Association Board of Directors consist s of volunteers from the community dedicated to furthering the Longmont Youth Football Association mission.
The Longmont Youth Football Association selects coaches based on their football knowledge, coaching experience, personal integrity and commitment to good sportsmanship. All head coaches are required to undergo a background check. In addition, all head coaches must sign a code of conduct form, which states that they agree to maintain the highest st andard of conduct.
Dedicated parents are also essential to the success of the football league. By registering your child for foot ball, you are agreeing to have your child at games and practices on time. All coaches and volunteers, and parents' part icipation in the team's activities is important. Abusive parents or coaches at games will not be tolerated. The Board of Directors has all final authority.
Registration forms must contain school information. Players will be assigned to play on teams by where they at tend school. Minimum age is 8 years old and enrolled in the 3rd grade. Maximum age is 15 years old and enrolled in the 8th grade.
